Each of our treating physios have a background in participating and treating a variety of sports including soccer, oztag, running, dance, netball. We are aware of how crucial is it to return to playing and training as soon as possible. We want to ensure you are able to do this safely and avoid reinjury or a delayed recovery.
Pain becomes classified as chronic when you are experiencing it most days over a period of three to six months. Dependent on the source of the pain, correct management is essential to reduce and overcome symptoms and develop an appropriate plan for self management.
What chronic pain areas can physio help?
Neck pain, lower back pain, knee pain, hip pain
Headaches are varied, as are their source. Neck pain or dysfunction is the source of cervicogenic headaches. The good news is a physio can help you with this type of headache.
David (our principle physio) is also trained in the Watson Approach to headache management.
Fracture management and casting
Monique (associate physio) is able to complete simple fracture casting of the ankles and hands in the clinic. All our physios are able to help you with management of your injury once the cast has been removed. This initial management is essential to combat stiffness, weakness and any ongoing pain. Regaining movement after a joint has been held still can be difficult, let us help you!
Rehabilitation pre or post surgery
Scheduled for a surgery? Just had a surgery and referred for physio? We are here.
Increasing strength as much as possible before a surgery can help dramatically with the recovery process. Likewise, a physio guiding your recovery after surgery will help to ensure you are doing everything you need to and avoiding anything that may be detrimental to your recovery. This will help speed the whole recovery process.
Monique (associate physio) has previously worked at Westmead Children’s Hospital in orthopaedics and is our most qualified physio to help any musculoskeletal injuries of children. If you are unsure if we can help, please call us to discuss the injury further.
Pliates is a growing area in physiotherapy. It’s focus is about controlling movement through range. That is, move your body with purpose and stability. We currently offer one on one pilates sessions.
Injured at work? Whether it was an acute injury or a slowly developed injury, we are here to get you pain free, moving and back to your pre-injured life! Please come with your GP referral on your initial assessment.
