David Blackburn

Principal Physiotherapist

David is the owner and Principal Physiotherapist at Connect Physiotherapy. He established Connect Physiotherapy in 2012. 


He studied at The University of Sydney and graduated from physiotherapy in 2009.
David has an interest and further training in treating complex lumbo-pelvic conditions, but also enjoys treating shoulders and people suffering from headaches and migraines. He has many years of sports coverage experience working at the semi-professional level as head Physiotherapist for a number of football clubs.

Monique McHugh

Senior Physiotherapist

B.H.Sc.M (PTHY)
 
Monique studied at The University of Western Sydney and graduated from Physiotherapy in 2014.

 She has since worked at Westmead Children's Hospital and with a multitude of local sporting teams before moving to Connect Physiotherapy 5 years ago. 


Monique has special interests in paediatrics, shoulders and the pelvis. She has also experienced a magnitude of her own sporting injuries which gives her a personal touch.

Amanda Lee

Associate Physiotherapist

B.App.Sc (PHTY)

 
Amanda studied at The University of Sydney and graduated in Physiotherapy in 2019.


Amanda has experience in multiple areas of physiotherapy including musculoskeletal, orthopaedics, neurology, acute cardiorespiratory and aged care.


Amanda is a Western Sydney local that enjoys helping people of all ages and abilities to stay active. She loves witnessing the benefits physiotherapy has on improving patients’ quality of living.

Dr Dan Hobbs

Musculoskeletal Physician

MBChB FRACGP PGDipMSM

Dr Dan graduated in 2004 from the University of Otago and completed GP training in 2012. He then completed a Postgraduate Diploma of Musculoskeletal Medicine with the University of Otago in 2019.
Dr Dan focuses his clinical work solely on musculoskeletal (MSK) medicine. Dr Dan encourages patients to continue seeing their regular GP and allied health practitioners, to work collaboratively with them to provide the best care for the patient.

Katie Blacketer

Exercise Physiologist (ESSAM) & Practice Manager

B.Hum. Mvt & M.Clin.Ex.Phys

Katie studied at the Australian Catholic University and graduated as an Exercise Physiologist in 2012.

Katie has worked in a variety of rehabilitation settings since graduating.
Katie's specialties include:

  • Pilates (APPI trained matwork 1,2, 3)
  • Ante & Post Natal Pilates (APPI trained)
  • Hydrotherapy
  • Workplace Rehabilitation
  • Falls Prevention
  • Cardiac Rehabiliation
  • Neurological Rehabilitation

Katie has a special interest in Exercise Physiology/Allied Health business development and expanding teams and services offered to the community. Her passion lies in providing the best possible care to her clients and meet their rehabilitation goals.

Jodie Laws

Allied Health Reception Team Leader

Jodie has been working at Connect Physiotherapy since 2019 and is a key member in the functioning of our team.
Jodie loves all sports, in particular soccer. She loves spending weekends at home with her family or taking the kids on new adventures.
